My Morning Commute............Chelan Washington

We have been having some wonderful weather the last few days. Very sunny and bright, the temperatures hitting the 40's by early afternoon. Making the snowy mountains look fabulous. Makes me want to be anywhere but stuck in a office all day, staring at a computer. The weekend is almost here and the weather man is calling for temperatures back in the teens with more snow up the Methow Valley. Going to try to squeeze a fast snowshoeing trip in prior to a girl regional basketball game on Saturday. Hopefully everything will mesh and we can hit a trail early enough to get back and head the other direction by late afternoon. Should make for a nice tiring weekend, but looking forward to it. Since winter finally decided to arrive, all at one time in the month of February. I need to take advantage of it before it all melts away.

Spring Storm...................

My morning commute to work can be a beautiful drive in good weather....bad weather can make it interesting in different ways.....I love seeing the snow melt off the hills and mountains and see the green emerge in its place....this year with the fires we had in the area, some of the hills are very lush and green....flowers start blooming and I can't wait till the weekend to get out and hike....sometimes on the way home the spring weather puts on a real good show....spring snow storms are always fun....they come fast and don't stick around long...but they always bring lots of funky clouds....on the way home the other day...I stopped and watched a snow storm...or a large cloud dumping snow....move along the Columbia river from Beebe Bridge, Chelan Falls area down along Hwy 97 heading north....very interesting to see with the blue sky and puffy white clouds....I really enjoy my drive back and forth to work....seems like there is always something interesting to see....
