Merry Christmas!

We finally got a dusting of snow, just in time for Christmas. Last Saturday we spent part of the day in Leavenworth and stayed to enjoy the Christmas lights. Tried some roasted chestnuts, I don't think I will have to try them again. Tasted like a cross between squash and bad flavored turkey. Lets just say nobody in our group thought they were very good. Still not sure why they would be mentioned in so many Christmas songs. It didn't take to long standing around and people watching that the cold started to bite. Some of us thought we were above using hand and toe warmers. Boy was I glad I had stuffed extras in my pockets, cold and damp the weather was. It is a very festive fun event, with masses of people. When the Christmas light ceremony wrapped up, us and a billion other folks made tracks to our vehicles. Only took us an hour and a half to get a block and a half to the first stop light.
