Saturday was a breezy blue sky day.....The weather was pleasant for a spring hike.....My Sister-in-law and my 2 year old niece came along with me....the road up to the Echo Ridge Trails is a very well maintained road.....we parked at the Upper Echo Ridge parking area....only one other car in the parking lot....The trails are well maintained and used extensively in the winter by snowmobile's and cross country skiers with some designated trails for snowshoes like wise....I believe most of the trails allow dogs...lots of nice signage and maps to make you aware of your location and what trails you can branch off to....lots of trails to disburse hikers in all directions....we decided to head up the trail Upsy Daisy from there we headed on up the Ridgeview Run to see a great view of the valley with Lake Chelan sitting in the bottom surrounded on one side by white caped mountains.....the breeze was a little bit stiff and chilly on top...by then the little one was getting tired....she was in and out of the pack...the trail is nice and wide with just a little bit of elevation gain....makes for a great kids trail and easy day hike....after a brief visit at the top to admire the views we headed back down the same way then branched off again on Chickadee....the flowers are pretty spotty yet....should be plenty more blooming in a week or so...depending on how warm it gets this week.....a nice place to take a leisure spring hike with great views.
