The forecast called for rain, heavy rain so I kept myself busy finishing up my taxes until the storm passed. As soon as the sky started to break up and a little blue started showing in the sky, I was off running for my car. Such a pleasure to walk at my leisure as far as the eye can see over hills starting to green up, flowers starting to pop, so much life out there. A little bit of moisture made the flower colors pop and stand out. Enjoyed just taking my time to explore the Department of Fish and Wildlife area and seeing what was coming up. Love the smell of the outdoors after a fresh rain, the soil, the sage brush, such an earthy fresh smell. A beautiful spring afternoon to just spend sometime outside. Found some Shooting stars, buttercups, yellow bells, bluebells, little mustard type plants with bright yellow flowers and a few spring beauties were blooming. My love of wildflowers is still going strong even after many hikes and walks over these same hills year after year. I can never get enough of natures beauty.

Pleasant day to get out and enjoy it, one of those days where your not sure if the clouds where going to allow the blue sky to show it self or not. We parked right off the highway with a couple of other cars and Snowshoed up the road to the trail head. Wasn't very long and more hikers, cross country skiers, and furry
